Phuket Golf Clubs – Overview

Golf in Phuket – Golf is arguably the most popular sport on Phuket Island which is not surprising as every single one of our golf courses could be described as something between first class and truly magnificent.

Blue Canyon Country Club – According to Tiger Woods, Blue Canyon is one of the best courses he has ever played and it has been the host to the Johnnie Walker Classic no less the three times. Greg Norman set the course record at 64.

There are two 18 hole courses at the Country Club the Canyon which opened in 1991 and the Lakes, which has water in 17 of its 18 holes, opened in 1999. Green fees plus caddy at the Canyon costs around 5,500 Baht while the Lakes cost around 4,000 Baht.

Laguna Golf Course – This beautiful par 71 course is the island's only resort based golf course, it has water on 13 of its 18 holes and an abundance of bunkers,

making it a lot more tricky than it would appear. Green fees and caddy at Laguna comes in at around 3,500 Baht

Mission Hills Golf – This 27 hole championship course designed by Nicklaus Design boasts some of the best ocean views on the island, it is a relatively new course which opened in 2004, green fees and caddy here will cost around 4,000 Baht.

Loch Palm Golf – Loch Palm is a tight, tree lined, par 72 course which surrounds the large Crystal Lake it has recently had a multi–million Dollar face lift and is maturing very nicely. Green fees and caddy comes in at around 3,000 Baht.

Red Mountain – Red Mountain is Loch Palm's sister course, it is brand new and advertised as the most challenging on the island. For the avid golfer this spectacular course is a "must play" as the experience will live in the memory of any keen golfer. A golf cart is compulsory and this coupled with green fees and caddy should leave you with change from 7,000 Baht.

The Phuket Country Club – Phuket Country Club is the oldest course on the island and very popular with the ex–pat locals. This delightful 27 hole course was built on a disused tin mine and green fees and caddy here comes in at around 3,500 Baht.
